*Paul Spencer and Nadia Spencer, Spencer Valley, NM
“Reining Techniques” Mr. Spencer will specifically focus on the Western Reining Fundamentals. His topic will consist of the elements of reining such as; fast and slow circles, lead changes, run-downs and stops, roll backs and backing. Mr. Spencer feels that these are some of the most difficult maneuvers to teach correctly therefore goes into great detail on each. Another topic is the transition from two hands to one, change in headgear and even some solution for maneuvers problems. They will address horsemanship and the psychology for competing and showing. Mr. Spencer‘s techniques are well-proven, no secret or magic. Although these techniques are specifically geared toward the future competitive reining horse, they are also applicable to anyone involved in western disciplines who seek suppleness, athleticism and obedience in their horse.
*Dr. Ruby, Rez Vet. Services – Will be on site to answer some questions on Equine Health and Vaccinations.
*Harold Blacksheep, Veterinary Technician, Chinle, AZ – Will be on site to answer questions on Equine Dentistry.
Benefits: Any Horsemanship Seminar is meant to not only enhance your education surrounding horses, but to help you gain and promote a new outlook about you and your animals. Presenters skills and their ability to share real life experiences will motivate, inspire, inform, educate and entertain to effectively help you recognize problems, how to evaluate and to properly correct. Thus, in essence, seminars help to develop and nurture that sense of pride, confidence and enthusiasm…which are surely excellent hallmarks of true Horsemanship!
